The decision to pause/discontinue the Visa/MC gift card deals was probably made in the summer last year and likely not due to fraud (hasn’t that always existed?), but probably profitability, especially in a high inflation and market reopening from covid. They may have needed these deals when people were hesitant to come to the store, but now prices are higher so they are a bit more profitable on groceries and don’t need to overdo the promotions since people will come to the store.

So I take it that before Covid folks never went into the supermkts and the profits were non-existent that had it not been for Covid and high inflation there wouldnt be any supermkts open today, and I guess you know what youre talking about since when I just checked the Wiki it shows that these promos only started after Covid hit, NOT.. I take it thats why all the supermkts I go to no longer have any Sales since all the manufactors are rolling in the $$$ with high inflation since their costs hasnt gone up at all, NOT again
