I had originally booked Y, playing upgrade roulette. We did get one upgrade, so I gave it to my wife and I was stuck in the middle in coach. We made it to MIA, for which I am thankful.
I had an experience on a flight from PHL-DFW (back on the 757...RIP) where my seat didn't work properly, and rather than put me back in economy, they bumped the guy behind me back and gave me his seat. I felt bad but certainly wasn't complaining.
