I used travel funds to purchase a ticket and the flight was significantly rescheduled. Now I have two options, either refund to the original form of payment or rebook later with future flight credit (expiring on 12/31/2022). My question is when the funds were returned to my travel bank, will it have the same expiration date of the original funds? I called UA and the agent said that refunded travel funds should have 1 year validity.
