This is very common, especially these days. They are often restricting one-way rentals due to the current vehicle shortage. Two suggestions:

1. Rent from a different company

2. Keep extending the return date until you find availability. If you go far enough out, eventually availability should show up. Note that you can always return at your originally intended time and you'll probably get a credit for any unused days in our experience.
