arrived by Uber from airport (45 EUR). friendly greetings, but check-in took some time, system was down etc. Got upgraded to Corner Deluxe room as Platinum and free breakfast ,which was beyond Marriott T&Cs, so I was happy about it. Lounge is still closed.

As stayed 1 night on points and 2 on paid rate, they botched the check-in process, so my room card didnt work the next day and they had to re-reserve my credit card for incidentals too.

Room was luxuriously appointed, but actually freakin' cold, even keeping air conditioning on max warm level, it still didnt feel like 23.5C, which i wanted. Finally had to bring in the heater to get the normal temperature. And it was 5-10 plus-degrees by Celsius, I wonder what happens in cold Berlin night, when temperature drops to -10 Celsius!

Automatic blinds didnt work first night, quite annoying needing to invite somebody to your room 11pm to fix it.

Spa was a dissapointment: lockers didnt work, steam sauna and jacuzzi were closed, Finnish sauna needs some modifications it was too dry and stuffy air.

Breakfast was highlight of the stay, everything tasted sublime and great choice of fruits, even mango, my favourite! Loved avocado and pesto spread especially.

All-in-all, for 40 000 Marriott points or 200 EUR per night as I paid this time, I would stay again.
how did you pull 200 eur night? wow
