Though I’m in the group that actually finds the minimal approach to be pretty comfortable and have enjoyed my previous Motel One stays so Atwell is right in my lane.
I’m also on board with this genre of hotel, but at least places like Motel One and citizenM usually splash out for pretty high quality furnishings. This stuff doesn’t look too great in terms of durability or comfort.
