I'd agree, some of them are getting dated, but again as long as you know in advance what you are getting into, it is fine. I stay at one in Fort Worth somewhat often and while it is pretty basic, it's also consistently clean, quiet, and cheap - so it works. I've never stayed at a Home2 before so I do not know what they are like.

While I could be wrong, I'd like to think there's a reason why this brand was created. Visually, it appears to be marketed more towards millennials traveling to Miami more than Candlewood and Staybridge. I'd also imagine it gives some sort of flexibility to franchisees. For example, if I was a franchisee who wanted to open an all-suite hotel in an area that has a Staybridge, what would be my options as far as IHG? Candlewood or a different company? Atwell allows growth of an important space.
Personally, I love these types of hotels (not as much Home2 Suites and Candlewood) and would welcome more options.
Fair point. I made the millennial label by 1 year but don't really follow that trend, so I guess that's why I don't get it.
