Like others have said I think Net Zero and ESG will heavily impact business travel for me, whether it's authentically that or whether it's used as a reason after the CFO saw how much the pandemic has saved on the travel budget is anyone's guess!

My travel has dramatically dropped. Following the pandemic I've cashed out of my business and taken an actual job, means for the first time in 15 years I'm having to follow something called a "travel policy" and if I need to be somewhere it's now a case of gaming the TA's system to keep flying BA (rather than, heaven forbid, Ryanair or similar), and that's going to be flying direct rather than a TP gathering First jaunt with multiple stops.

With current bookings I'm going to be 160TP short of the 1,125 I need to keep Gold in August, I'll probably go to Helsinki for a weekend (or similar) to sort that. I probably need to go to Delhi and Kuala Lumpur at some point this year, but will put that off until my new TP year on the assumption that Gold will bounce back to 1,500. If it does then I'm reluctantly resigned to the fact that I'll drop to Silver. I'll be honest, as much as I like travelling, I've not missed it as much as I thought. If BA does revert to the old TP limits then it might actually encourage me to spread my wings and fly on other carriers.
