Schedule change wasn't large enough, and that equipment changes don't warrant a free change, and also that D wasn't available, which she said was really a "economy ticket upgrade". Which is isn't. For it to be an "upgrade" you would have to be seated in Y, and moved. It's a discounted F fare. So I hung up with no luck.
Called back 5 minutes later, different agent, change done in two seconds, no question, and was thanked for being a 1K. Inconsistency, but I was happy with the result.
Is there a hard and fast minimum change in schedule now before an agent will accept a cusutomer initiated change? Is it two hours? I kind of remember during Smisek's reign they came up with a two-hour rule which was religiously applied, even if it violated MCT. Curious what the policy is now.
