Lowest PE fare labelled as "mixed cabin" (Economy)
I'm not sure if this is a website problem, or just general Air Canada weirdness, but I'm trying to book one-way flights YYZ-YVR and YVR-YYZ in late April / early May on the Air Canada App, and the lowest PE option generally shows a tag that says "mixed cabin", even though it's a direct flight (so how can it be a mixed cabin if there's only one leg?) When I click on the link, it indicates that the flight is in Economy class. However, the seating plan appears to be for the standard PE cabin on that route.
On the website, I tried the same booking and got all the way to the payment page (without booking), and I wasn't able to select seats, so I decided to go ahead and book on the App, since I can cancel in 24 hours and get a refund. I had some difficulty selecting seats but finally got my "usual" seat, 13H, in what looks to be the 3-row Premium Economy cabin.
However, when I look the description of the booking, it says "Economy".
So, where am I? In Economy or Premium Economy? I certainly paid a Premium Economy price (around C$1000).
PS - I'm noticing this "mixed cabin" label for the lowest PE fare across a number of flights on numerous days on this route.
