Please tell us your secret!

I managed to beg an upgrade to Economy+ from CPH to SEA this summer, but the CPH GA was very sour. I was surprised she gave it to me.

Next week will be my first time flying transatlantic (CPH-IAD) since getting EBS status, and *Gold (US Air). Any tips for what to say to get seated in C for the flight?

SK seem to ignore that they are in an alliance and when I mentioned being *Gold on the phone to two agents, they both acted like they'd never heard of it and I had to explain what I meant.
