GUC's and Mileage Upgrade Awards are supposed to credit based on original fare paid. While they will book into Z class on partners, they are not supposed earn like they are revenue Z fares. If you use dollars to upfare or purchase FCM upgrades, those should credit as revenue Z fares. The exception is day-of-departure upgrades on partners. So, no, not all Z class flown flights are treated alike.
