The article you linked specifically says SIN-MAN-IAH follows the 96hr rule. It also notes SIN-NRT-LAX follows the 96hr rule. Thus, something to do with 5th freedom routes. So if that is still valid (and it seems SQ is getting back to more normal ops) I would try at 96hrs. Nothing to lose, no?
