My SWU upgraded ticket (BE -> J) is showing the exact same thing too. Class states Basic Economy, but with seats in J. I wasn't waitlisted on that segment (booked BE tickets with upgrade space available, and called it in right away and applied the SWU), but am waitlisted on a domestic segment still.
Cool, thanks all. Sounds OK then, just looks odd! Booked straight into J as we picked flights that were available and it got ticketed / the UK "luxury" tax charged all OK.
