Good news, my AA activity has a new activity that posted yesterday for LP, and it matches the AA eShopping that I've done. Here's the summary of what I needed to do:
1. Made inquiry that my miles posted as bonus instead of base
2. Was told this was a known issue and to contact AAdvantage
3. Called AAdvantage, put on hold for ~30 minutes so they could do research, they said they couldn't help because they don't know which are bonus (like the 1,000 if you spend $300) vs. what should be base, reach back out to AA eShopping
4. Replied back to AA eShopping stating AAdvantage could not help me and why, and asked for them to back out my bonus miles and input them as base miles
5. Finally corrected as stated above
Took about a month to clear it all up.
Thank you, I'm in the same exact boat of having an order that didn't track and then after 15 days eShopping customer service entered it as "ASM CUSTOMER SERVICE BONUS", and then them trying to fob me off onto AAdvantage to deal with it. I'm going to send these instructions back to eShopping customer support, this should hopefully save me (and anyone else experiencing this) from having to spend a bunch of time going back and forth about this ourselves.
