For most people, I expect the biggest value of the Taiwan Platinum card comes from the dining discounts (especially given the current travel restrictions). Just a couple times a month should be enough to break even on the annual fee. Authorized users can get these discounts too.
We use the dining discounts several times a week, so obviously it is a much better value to us (and a much more interesting benefit) than the US card.
