You are entitled to that opinion. I see your room had the composite floors, as well as the faux cowhide loveseat - both major downgrades from the prior set-up IMO. I would imagine your room also had the round table, which replaced (entirely inadequately) the awesome solid wood desks they used to have. The replacement of desks with a less functional alternative is one of those corporate driven moves which many of us find both perplexing and infuriating.

The wooden ceiling beams were there before. It would have cost a bunch to replace them, otherwise they undoubtably would have.
