Im a Gold medallion. I got my free international 1st class upgrade in app from ATL-GUA, I booked initially in C+.

1st class was sold out by the time I checked in so I'm glad I booked in C+ initially in order to get the free upgrade to F.

So yes.. DL does upgrade you for these international routes to 1st class.

Recently status matched to Silver. Should I be eligible to request a First Class upgrade even though this is an international flight? According to the benefits chart, I think yes. I was able to request for the domestic section on same PNR, but for this segment only Comfort + shows as available to request upgrade.

Thanks for the help, as I switched from AA and still learning the new rules. I know you can’t request for Delta One, but that’s not offered on this flight.
