Google Maps just doesn't recognize that there's a more direct route to the station... e.g. it shows that it's a 22 minute walk from the HR to the Aqueduct Racetrack station. In reality it's much less. Just use whichever station is more convenient to you (based on your destination) as the starting point. The walk to Aqueduct Racetrack is just a few minutes.
