So, first of all, there are two Aqueduct stations. If you are going to Manhattan, either should work, which is to say that the one literally called Aqueduct Racetrack, which is more-or-less across from the casino, should work.

Except that my farecard wasn't working and there were no machines and no personnel at this station -- at least not that I could find. So I walked down to the further Aqueduct station, and ended up with the same problems.

Maybe that was just me. But, eventually, I had to walk back upstream until I got to the Rockaway Blvd station -- not to be confused with Rockaway Junction (can't they come up with distinct names?) -- which functioned more like a full-service subway stop. I was able to re-charge my ticket, and it worked.

Unless you get some better local knowledge here -- and especially if you don't have a well-loaded fare card -- I would just walk directly to the Rockaway Blvd station. Once you are there, by the way, you will have less time to wait, since Rockaway Blvd is actually the junction for trains heading into Manhattan from Lefferts Blvd, too.
Im going this week and it looks like you can walk indoors to one of the Aqueduct stations and take a shuttle to the other. Any idea if you can do this walk indoors? As the post above mentioned, trip planning apps seems to ignore these stops entirely so it is really unclear
