I entirely agree that the new "benefits" are entirely underwhelming. The only useful thing are the airport transfers (though doesn't say what kind of car it is). But probably worth at a minimum £1k. The other stuff will be forgotten pretty quickly. Certainly not enough to justify the "new" card launch IMO. Repeating existing benefits as though they are new (fast track, lounge etc.). Strange the longer personal concierge hours aren't mentioned as that would be a bigger story. Though maybe that is still a benefit only for a subset of cardholders?
Cent has always been a card for the frequent traveller. The only way to get the true value out. I've booked hotel rooms with guaranteed upgrades that on paper saved tens of thousands. In one extreme case I paid £16k for a £40k room. In another case (actually twice this year) I saved £1k on a flight vs. BA/AA own website using IAP (never seen this before). So you can definitely make true savings to offset the cost. Also the insurance has been useful and quick. But if you don't travel and are not in London (for the UK card), there is limited value I would have thought.
