How can you tell if a flight is oversold?

I have for a long time thought that I can read EF well and can have a reasonable stab at understanding whether a flight is oversold in any given cabin or not. But on the last few JFK returns I’ve really struggled.

Heading over today:
BA 183 LHR 7:05p → JFK 9:50p
F3 A2 J6 C0 D0 R0 I0 W3 E0 T0 Y9 B9 H9 K8 M6 L5 V3 S0 N0 Q0 O0 G9

How do people read each cabin? The only cabins I can say with certainty aren’t oversold (for obvious reasons!) are Y and F!

(I will confirm this in a few hours at F-wing check-in if the agent’s being nice!)
