Do not stay at the airport - go to the city
IST is an amazing city Lira is very weak, hotels (apart from high endl ones) are competitively priced - so why to stay at the airport...
Also my only case when TK lost my checked baggage was when I had a long connection in IST (but it was at Ataturk).
I would agree with
TPJ , 24 hours at the airport could be really boring and as the YOTEL Airside is overpriced compared to city hotels, it would be better to explore Istanbul during your layover, assuming that you wouldn't sleep for your entire layover with sleeping pills.
