Great, but now it would be at a higher rate, and some of the rooms and rates are not even an option! So I called the Diamond desk, and the only way to change it is to cancel the reservation, or they need to call each property to see if they will change it to two and keep the old rate. I guess now I need to be sure to change the default adults to two on future reservations. THis is crazy! You can add a person to the reservation, but it does not change the number of adults.
Most of my stays are at HGI, and with the Food and beverage credit instead of just a free cooked to order breakfast, now you add this, I am seriously looking at other chain options. Hilton, you are losing my loyalty.
I stayed with Mrs m4l in NYC one month ago, 4 nights splited between 2 properties. Both bookings were, as practically always, for 1 guest.
At one of the properties they did not mentioned anything at check in and gave us the daily allowance for 2 guests.
At the other one, the check in agent told me that in the future she recommended to book for 2 guess because of the daily allowance, but that the rate would be the same, and she changed without problem.
