Don't expect any changes on mileage earning for London to US flights on the other carrier. ("Other" meaning AA if you are in the BA program, or vice versa.)

This probably won't have much effect on most people.

BA will put their flight number on some AA flights in the US to connect in with BA transatlantics.

AA will put their flight number on some BA flights out of London to non-US destinations. (Might be good for some AA members, as they probably will get 100% miles on a codeshare vs. 25% on BA post-July 1.)

AA will probably put their flight number on BA's JFK-MAN.

BA will probably put their flight number on AA's ORD-MAN.
