The hotel proactively emailed me a few weeks before my stay, offering an airport transfer for 140 kuna (apparently more expensive for non-Honors members). They responded to all my emails within a few minutes.

We were arriving late so decided to take the hotel car, as it was not much more than the airport shuttle bus (35 each) and avoided waiting and walking. The driver was friendly and efficient and there was no traffic - there is a new road to the airport from the eastern side which wasn't there on my last trip.

I received the Hilton 3-day auto-upgrade to the Junior Suite and can confirm the above, although my son enjoyed running in circles in that "unusuable space".

Check in was a bit slow because they needed to take down all the details from every passport. The bar area was full and lively in the evening.

Unlike NewbieRunner, I didn't get a chocolate bar, that plate of snacks or beer, but did get the cherry juice, a big plate of fruits and bottled water (not sure why as thought they were promoting their water dispenser).

"Extra space" by the door

According to the welcome letter, Canopys feature canopies over the beds (this wasn't the case in my Canopy Reykjavik room).

Not much else to add to the previous reviews except that the bed was very comfortable, and there was good water pressure from shower, but the shower base is just a flat block meaning water easily flows out onto the floor, it's very slightly sloping inwards but that is not helpful unless you only use a small trickle of water.

I found the breakfast to be good, but the restaurant area was quite small - not sure how it would cope at full occupancy. They had smoked salmon (expected in Iceland, but not necessarily in Croatia), and some Croatian rice dish. Good pastries. No hot drinks machine for guest use, instant coffee in flasks on every table but had to order others. Starts at 0700.

There are computers (and possibly printers, can't remember) for guest use on the 1st floor. Some photos of the gym and the transfer lounge:

Exchange rate used for euro to kuna was exactly the interbank rate. It seemed to be possible to pay in euro banknotes (change in kuna) but anyway Croatia is expected to switch to the euro at the start of 2023.

To return to the airport, we tried out local bus 290. You can take tram 2 eastbound from outside the hotel to the stop "Heinzelova" then walk about 75m southeast to the 290 bus stop. (Note there are several stops called Heinzelova which are some distance apart - do not go to the others.) Alternatively take tram 13 or 9+5/7 to Tržnica Kvatrić then walk about 350m east along Martićeva ulica, where the first stop of the 290 is on the southwest corner of that and Heinzelova ulica.

Officially you need one 60 minute ticket (7 kn) and one 30 minute ticket (4 kn) for this, bought from convenience kiosks. Validate the 60 minute ticket on the tram. Then, according to what I was told by ZET, just as the bus is crossing Domovinski Bridge (boundary of Zagreb city zone and Zagreb county zone), you are supposed to get up, walk up to the driver and validate the 30 minute ticket. As long as you plan your timings properly, it's just as fast as the airport shuttle bus since that involves a walk to the bus station. Google Maps is accurate for the routes I described, not necessarily accurate for other transport.

The adjacent mall is quite small and not really that interesting. I would have liked a door into the hotel from the mall but they must have decided against it. If this hotel had been open when I did the tourist stuff before, I may have chosen this over the DT. Next visit will probably choose based on price, though all 3 Hiltons seem to be priced roughly the same.
