What is it with this compensation/entitlement culture? Do you really expect to go through life being compensated for every little obstacle you meet? Just bleedin’ deal with it; it’s hardly a life changing event losing a few hours of sleep. You’re awake already, embrace the fact that you have a few more hours in the day than you would normally have, do the unusual and thank the property for enriching your life that way. You’d be surprised how good karma is rewarded.
And, yes, it’s happened to me too. On more than one occasion. Front desk explained what had happened and offered an apology, and I thanked for it and told them the apology wasn’t really necessary since technical fubars can and will happen to all or us at one point.
Or, in other words, grow up and grow a pair!
Do you approach all questions and interactions w/ strangers with this level of animosity? The only thing you left out was "Back in my day....."
