If I am booked on a LHR-NCE avios reward flight at 9pm, can I standby or confirm a seat for an earlier flight if I present myself at the check-in desk at LHR in the AM? If yes, is it complimentary (no status), if not what is the fee? I am a *A flyer and not familiar with BA, but have this upcoming flight and would like information. Unfortunetely on avios I could not book an earlier one and have this late ticket, I'll be arriving at LHR on a separate ticket very early in the morning (6:30am) and don't want to wait 15hours to catch my 9pm flight.
