If some dumb/stupid guest had pulled the fire alarm as a joke, I'd say that it wasn't the hotel's fault. Here the hotel doesn't seem to be claiming that your next door neighbor did it, so IMO compensation or a generous service gesture would be appropriate. One night's worth of points for the property's category would be generous, maybe half of that would be the lower bound for a Plat. OTOH, an upgrade to a true (specialty?) suite for the remaining four nights would also be fine, but it sounds as if the "suite" you were offered wasn't really a suite. [Have you looked at the property's online room categories and their descriptions? It might help to identify the actual category and name of the room you were offered, which sounds like it might have been a preferred room of the same category or a one category upgrade.]
