Looking for advice on my situation based on where I'm at and where I want to go with Chase.
I am under the 5/24, I have one Chase and one non-Chase in the last 24 months. Currently maintain a Freedom, Freedom UL, and IHG Premier. My Freedom is 10 years old, Freedom UL was a previous downgrade from a CSP (account is about 4 years old) and is my primary spend card, and my IHG card is only 1 year old and the fee just hit. I did the IHG card for the sign-up bonus only and have no issues dropping this card.
I am looking to go back to a CSP card and looking to get the 60k sign up bonus if possible. I don't think applying for a new card and retaining the other 3 makes sense for me as Chase reallocated credit from my other cards when I signed up for the IHG card. Looking for thoughts here for best odds on getting CSP sign up bonus, do I cancel both IHG and Freedom UL then re-apply for CSP? Then I could product change my Freedom to a Freedom UL card as I get more benefit from the UL, but don't want to cancel my Freedom which has 10+ years of credit history? Is there a preferred sequence in making these changes?
I've fallen off the points wagon the last few years as I don't travel for work much anymore, but I'm trying to get back into my once favorite hobby.
Thanks in advance!
