I actually went to this resort by pure chance. We were in Hanoi and scheduled for a tour of Ha Long Bay when a typhoon unfortunately headed our way. I jumped on google flights and found a flight to a destination I'd never heard of, Phu Quoc. I was surprised to see a JW Marriott, and it had recently opened. We loved our time there and actually extended our stay. We never left the resort as we were treated so well! We hope to return and see more of the island itself one day.
