There is nothing VS staff at the airport can do in advance of the flight so it’s a waste of time to go there.
Also going on the day “super early” isn’t required either.
A number of seats are blocked off from advanced selection to allow them for example to sit families with children under 12 together or to accommodate those with babies who need a bassinet position or for a lap child and parent to be allocated a seat row with an extra O2 mask.
That process is usually completed behind the scenes a few days before OLCI opens for the flight.
Just because you are unable to select seats now is no indication of an issue in the future.
in the days before the flight those blocked seats will open up and you should just check MMB to see what has opened up. You may find you’ve even been assigned seats if there is an under 12 in your party so the CAA rules can be met.
And once OLCI opens then there will be more choice as they release virtually everything else.
