I last flew WTP probably 12 to 15 years ago to Miami and if I recall the 2nd meal was better than that one.
IIRC, BA never really did a full hot pre-arrival meal on their US sectors, either in WT or WT+.
In the late 1990s/early 2000s, the breakfast offering into LON was a hot croissant and muffin, a bowl of fresh fruit, and yogurt, in both cabins from both the East and West Coasts. The presentation was a little nicer because they used actual trays and actual bowls (those blue and green plastic salad bowls) and provided an actual coffee cup. After a while, that offering was "enhanced" to a carb-laden shelf stable breakfast box.
During the same time, the offering back into the US was a pre-arrival tea tray consisting of a sandwich selection, a scone, and a brownie, all again served on those blue clear plastic trays with the reusable salad bowls from above with the coffee cup. Sometimes there would be a bottled smoothie or something like that, but sometimes not. The offering was "enhanced" like the continental breakfast above to a sandwich box with a candy bar/scone. Again, sometimes they would put a smoothie or a lemonade cup into the box.
In the mid 2010s, the LAX/SFO offering was improved to a modified hot offering pre-arrival...IIRC it was like a hot English with tinned fruit and a pre-packaged pastry. The hot English was eventually changed to a hot breakfast burrito, but WT+ still got the full English.
