Oh the memories! I flew the Trenton to Boston route a few times back in '98 or thereabouts. This worked really well...when it worked. Fares as low as $50 one way, and ultra-convenient since I live within 15-20 mins of the trenton airport. But then, I had to get back to Bos for a seminar Monday morning, and the Sunday night shuttle was delayed due to equipment problems somewhere down the line, and their one plane was stuck. After 2 or 3 hours of delay, they cancelled the flight outright. There was then a mad dash to the single Hertz car counter. The counter agent decided she wouldn't allow any more cars to be taken for one-way boston runs and began cursing and shouting at the 4 or 5 people waiting for a booking. After speaking with a regional manager about the situation, a colleague and I got permission to take a car, and we speed up to the city in a 5-hour run to make it for the morning seminar. To this day, I hate Hertz and Eastwind. Eastwind went out of business back around 2000 or so.
