It'll probably be a lot cheaper to get a 1 year plan (nobody here does 6 months) and to just eat the last couple of months service, or pay the early termination fee if it costs less than the extra 6 months. T-Mobile is the only US GSM carrier I've found who will do a 1 year contract without removing all the goodies from the signup package.
