Arrived at T5 at 12pm for our flight to Lisbon today and the Club check-in area is very busy., not quite to the door but not far off it) Fortunately had checked in online yesterday so was a choice of join the queue or try the self service queue for bag drop. My OH has mobility issues (walks with a stick but very slowly) and a BA staff member sees us and takes us to the front of the queue. Very grateful indeed.

Then in the Galleries Club South lounge experience the same as Dame Pucci, except this time it's a single mother with a toddler occupying 3 seats. Managed to get her to relinquish one seat freeing two opposite each other by the window. She finally decided to go off to the parent / kiddy area.

First time travelling in over 2 years and find the lounge offering somewhat depleted food wise but I put that down to being in the perineum (the low period between breakfast and lunch). Managed to get two croissants but no butter or anything else to go in them.

At least i have a very large G&T, olives and pretzels and OH has Johnny Walker Red Label. So opting for the liquid lunch.

Will try the QR ordering for lunch now. Let's see how long it takes to arrive.

Now have a know it all (KIA) trying to share his knowledge of the of the Qantas lounge in T3 and boring the pants off a very polite lady who clearly has done all this before but is far too genteel to tell KIA to eff off. If he continues i might be tempted to though.....
