I haven't stayed there in maybe 10 years? It's poorly managed and the normal rooms are small.
There really hasn't been a decent Starriott option at SFO since the Sheraton Gateway refurbished and promptly rebranded to Hilton.
There's lots of "not totally terrible" options in that area if that's what you're looking for.
