Does the OP has an urgency to use the points immediately? Personally I don't care if the points come in a month.
The benefit I care about
1. Is my status being recognized at the front desk? (room upgrade)
2. Do I have free supply of bottle water in the suite?
3. Lounge access.

There is another benefit. I once got a $500 rebate from ebates on a hotel stay.
