Hey all. My itinerary is really hectic so I wanted to ask a question to the forum on something that I am baffled with atm.

I recently got a flight ticket sold by DL but is codeshared to other airlines, and my itinerary is as follows:

Outbound: IAD-LHR (Virgin Atlantic)
Inbound: LHR-AMS-IAD (KLM)
Class: Economy Light on all flights

However, although I initially expected I would not need to check in a luggage, I am thinking I might need to check in a bag for the travel.
I am a Skyteam Elite member (KE Skypass), and AFAIK Skyteam Elite members get one extra checked bag on any skyteam flights, but on this complicated itinerary including a non-skyteam airline, would I still be able to get the extra baggage benefit? I tried messaging and calling Delta rep but the wait times are insane atm... so I thought this would be the best place to pitch in a question.
