What is your IHG Rewards Club status?
Spire Inner Circle Royal Ambassador

Were you (or for multi-stayers are you generally) happy with the hotel/stay
Yes.

Which room did you book and which upgrade did you receive?
Booked cheapest rate, and received a River view Junior Suite.

How are the rooms?
Quite compact

Separate lounge area with sofa and desk.

Large TV with basic selection of international channels.

Nespresso machine. Kettle.

Large comfortable bed.
No additional sockets next to the bed.

Tiny bathroom with bathtub. Pretty cheap Four Elements amenities

Very efficient air conditioning system.
Superb view over the city.

No PressReader free online papers.

How is the exec. lounge?
The club lounge was still closed despite the hotel was packed.

Mediocre breakfast served at main restaurant, which can be very crowded and noisy.
Service is slow.

What was good and what was bad?
GOOD
  • Unbeatable location.
  • Superb view from the suites.
  • Pleasant spa

BAD
  • Club lounge still closed.
  • Very apathetic staff who hardly smiles.
  • Very dated and cheap design, which does not meet today’s luxury hotels standard.

Value for $ or IHG Rewards Points? Would you return?
For the view, but we definitely wait for the new Kimpton in town.
