My first thought was simple 'who would BA buy the shares from to take over VS?' Its not like either shareholder has made noises about being unhappy, nor are the shares are public.

Even the most credible of financial journalists or editors should have thought that one through - but then we are talking about the Telegraph and Sunday Times..
