I'm a member of a number of running groups, and hear lots of people complain about having a face covering. But I've done a number of runs, walks, and downhill skis over the last two years, and frankly if you can't have a cloth in front of your mouth for 40 minutes, I'd worry more about your lung capacity and proper respiratory disease than any temporary pandemic.
it’s not quite a matter of whether you are comfortable, more whether it is making any impact at all on potential spread.
By all means wear what you want when running - my own approach was always minimalist with shorts and a top only, possibly a long sleeve and thin gloves when it was close to 0C, could never understand those with full leggings, multiple layers and with headphones. Anyway, my point is don’t do it because you think you are stopping any spread - you really aren’t. The chances of spreading anything when passing someone outside on a run are basically zero. I suppose if your approach was really about having completely zero risk you would have stayed at home rather than going out at all - but i would not wish that on you.
