In addition to RNE’s wise advice, I suggest NOT applying for another personal card from any issuer. Another personal card would put you at 5/24 thereby precluding ANY further Chase approvals (until you get back under 5/24).

That’s been my strategy for the past few years during which time I’ve been approved for a dozen or more business cards, half from Chase. I’ve also starting alternating every 13-14 months Chase biz and personal cards from the same program (UA Club personal/biz, Hyatt personal/biz, planning IHG biz in a few days) so as to maintain ongoing benefits and “churn” a SUB every 25-26 months. I save my personal applications for the best most lucrative most desirable offers and wouldn’t go to 5/24 unless it was something truly outstanding.
