It used to be 2000 pts for 60$ but I can't find anymore a reference on this even on the US page. They all say 2000 pts/40€. It is possible that they convert to € on the day of the operation.
If you partially pay your bill with points, you will earn status nights and status points on the cash-paid part. But keep in mind that they will deduct the total taxes paid from the cash-paid part.
I recommend you to check your account after the stay as, in my experience, the hotel get it wrong for the number of points posted in the great majority of cases.
