I need to stay overnight in Los Angeles and found a priceworthy accomodation close to the Wilshire/Vermont metro station. It's 2022 and I thought I would use the TAP app instead of buying a TAP plastic card so I installed the Android app, created an account and logged in, added a credit card and put in 2 favorite locations, the Aviation/LAX metro station and the Wilshire/Vermont metro station. Under "Trip Tools" I was able to find an itinerary for my trip from Aviation/LAX to Wilshire/Vermont and at this point I was expecting to see a "Purchase Ticket" button next to the itinerary, but the developers of this app apparently thought otherwise. Could anybody please point me in the right direction? All I want to do is buy a very standard metro ticket and I would like to avoid all unnecessary cards (both plastic and virtual) and solely rely on my phone (it supports NFC) and the app. Thank in advance for any help.
