Agree - am 6' 2" and would rather have row 1, especially if in other rows the **** in front wants to recline. Knees are the problem for me.
Best row 1 is portside on a Ryanair 737...once the door is shut. The issue then is that a 737 is narrower than a 319/320 so the seats are narrower
