I was in and out in about 2 minutes, went and bought a sandwich and midway through eating it got the result. I think the PCR tests might take a bit longer but the RATs are very quick. I, like you, also considered going the day before but had too much on so getting it done at the airport was not my first choice but that's what I'd do in future. Much easier.
