Cancel flight for credit for future travel
I am sure this is a basic question, so sorry for taking up space on this message board.
I usually fly Delta due to location, but have flight booked via Finnair ORD-HEL-SIN and return this summer for two in business class. Paid for seat selection. No status on AY.
For multiple reasons, we will not be making the trip. I assume a refund will not happen, which is fine. If I were to cancel, would I be able to use the credit in the future, say for a trip from ORD to Europe? Probably won't travel international for another year, bought these tickets on what I felt was a good deal, now realizing not a good idea.
Just want to get some info before canceling. When offered to cancel online, it states fill out refund form after cancellation. Would like some pointers on how this works out. If refund is possible on non-refundable ticket, that would be great but not counting on it.
Thanks,
Polska
