Two travel mates of mine said not to bother with the Polycarbonate. One of them said theirs cracked mid trip. They also have seen lots with completely cracked corners.

I travel HLO and have done so for a decade. Generally with a holdall sitting on top of the cabin bag.

So I’ll buy the Original Cabin and pack my Laptop, ipad and toiletry bag in my holdall for easy access at security checkpoints and put my laptop in the Rimowa in the lounge prior to boarding.

I considered the Cabin Plus, but don’t want to risk it being gate checked.

I do think the Original is an iconic piece of history so think it’s the right decision.
