Introduction Overall I can recommend this hotel for business or leisure travelers, if the location is suitable for your needs.Lobby photos Room I had booked at a very reasonable rate of 17.5 K points per night. The nightly rate would have been somewhere around 95 EUR.I think I had been pre-blocked a suite upgrade, but that suite had technical issues. This was likely why my check in took so long (and three people).I really think the room is nicely down with warm colors. The bathroom is spacious with a large tub and walk-in separate shower. The bed is the standard Westin bed. I slept like a baby in it. Particularly after the very strange arrival time. This is the view from the room. A bit hazy, but otherwise it is nice to have some space in this otherwise crowded city. It is March 17 and 40 C outside. Hard to believe because my hotel room was around 16 C. To fall asleep it was really nice, but now that I am sitting here and working, I noticed I put on a jacket and got a hot tea. The air conditioner is adjustable, so now the world is normal again.

In the room there are plenty of universal sockets including USB-A outlets. Even in the bathroom there is an USB-A outlet. The internet service met my needs without any complaints. Premium speeds are generally free for Bonvoy members. The desk is suitable for short-term work, but the chair is a bit low for longer term typing. The window could in theory open, but it is locked.I liked that the coffee/tea making area is on a proper separate countertop. The kettle looked very clean and there are plenty of water bottles, if you want to avoid tap water. There is a safe, full-size iron and other standard amenities. A shoe shine service is offered. It is unclear if it is complimentary or not. Check In I arrived via Uber. The trip in the middle of the night took about 15 minutes from the airport. There was a security control at the gate and the Uber was met in front of the hotel for a scanning of the luggage. Everything goes really quickly without any hassle. Many of the European flights land late at night, so it is not unusual to check in at off hours.I may have been unlucky, but despite mobile check in it still took 30 minutes before I finally had my keys.Once I had my keys I was lead to my room and shown around. On the way there I was informed about breakfast and the fitness room.Side note on platinum amenities: I had arranged for a late checkout at 8 pm. They did not give me any hassle on this. I am doing this so I can also write aboutthe lounge arrangements later on. In addition to this lounge access they also offer a selection of in-room F&B options or 1000 points. I went for the points. Location For me this location is convenient if you want to get into a bed quickly after a flight or before an early flight. The rest is then all a question on what you are in town for. Traffic is horrible throughout the city, so factor this into your decision. Most of the Marriott properties are up in the north loosely near the airport. There are two properties in the south that are roughly close to some of the most commonly visited tourist sites. For my stay I am personally hotel hopping based upon my daily agenda. Dining Breakfast also for lounge users is served in the Lakeview restaurant.Side note: The lounge is currently under renovation. For those wondering, the hotel is "new", but I believe it is a strongly refurbished, re-flagged hotel. I think it used to be a Renaissance. The breakfast is very extensive. There is a broad selection of Western food, including an omlette station and two stations serving cooked to order Indian food. There are plenty of healthy and unhealthy choices. I cannot imagine someone not being satisfied. Coffee, tea, water (and probably juices) weres serve to the table. Otherwise it was buffet style.
